Absolutely magic, this was the Cajun spicy prawns as recommended by Corrigan website - huge prawns the likes of which you won’t get in supermarkets. Fried in red peppers, onion, garlic and seasoning. Served with crusty bread.
Prawns were of excellent quality and so easy to prepare. They are absolutely huge and so flavourful. Great for Asian cookery styles or traditional Scottish seafood recipes. You can’t get the same quality in the usual supermarkets, so , support
the independent retail and wholesale fishmongers.
Excellent quality
Deveined very well
Once they've thawed naturally they are as good as fresh.
They smell really nice (not even slightly fishy) - we tend to use for king prawn tempura. The texture and flavour is excellent.
Have already re-ordered.
Good value too
I buy the frozen prawns regularly and they are always soooo good. They are a good size and ‘meaty’. Sometimes I cook crushed garlic and finely diced red pepper in some butter and a little oil. Then add and cook the prawns. Add some tomato purée, some and some stock. Finally add a tablespoon of Crème Fraiche. Serve with cooked tagliatelle. Just one of many ways to serve these prawns. Having tried other suppliers, I would only buy from Corrigan.
I am never disappointed with my order from this company. I intended to order for Easter but mistakenly ordered for the following week.
It was easy to contact the company and got my order the next morning.
Brilliant service!
These are absolutely delicious prawns, just a perfect size for me, I just fry them in very little oil and enjoy them hot or cold. Fantastic value for money
The difference between Bernard's prawns and shop bought prawns is extraordinary. Even the smallest Corrigan prawns are much bigger and tastier than premium king prawns sold by the most expensive supermarkets. And they don't mysteriously shrink during cooking. Definitely first class.
